The FDNY responded to a three-alarm fire at Beach 193rd Street around 4:30 a.m. Initial reports indicated the rapid escalation of the situation, with the first arriving unit immediately requesting additional resources due to the intensity of the flames. The fire quickly spread throughout the wooden structure, fueled by strong winds and the cabana’s construction materials.

It ultimately took approximately three hours to bring the fire under control.A senior official stated, “The first unit to arrive immediately transmitted a second alarm due to the heavy fire.
