On this occasion, a round table on the theme “Innovative strategies for socio-cultural animation: security, well-being and development of young people” was organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, indicates a press release. of the ministry.

This round table made it possible to draw up “an exhaustive inventory” of socio-cultural activities, discuss its impact on youth and propose “tangible solutions” to implement the professionalization program, underlines the same source.

This collaborative meeting offered “a forum conducive to the exchange of experiences and the analysis of best practices” both at the national and international level, the press release said, specifying that it was an opportunity to discuss improving the skills of youth workers, strengthening the legal framework and establishing a digital framework for socio-cultural leaders.

And added that this one-year program provides for the creation of 100 local training units, located within youth centers, in different regions and provinces, affirming that this approach will guarantee “personalized, agile and adapted monitoring to the specific needs of each locality.

“These cells will have the mission of providing training to obtain the ASAS (Certificate specific to socio-cultural animation), the main modules of which have been presented,” we specify.

Through this program, the ministry aims to “train youth workers”, particularly within youth centers, a clause which will gradually be integrated into agreements with civil society associations which intervene at the level of establishments. of youth.

Furthermore, the program envisages the establishment of an online repository for socio-cultural facilitators as well as the digitalization of the process of registering young people for training.

This will allow rigorous control of the various actors working with young people, especially as the ministry is gradually moving towards delegated management of supervision activity to associative actors, explains the press release.

The launch of the program to professionalize the profession of socio-cultural animation is part of the Moroccan Youth Support Program (PAJM), financed by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Youth , Culture and Communication – Department of Youth -.

Initiated in 2019, the PAJM aims to strengthen public youth policy in response to the aspirations and expectations of young Moroccans of today and tomorrow.

Its overall objective is to enable young Moroccans, particularly girls and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, to access a range of local services adapted to their expectations with a view to promoting their socio-professional and civic integration.
