Rahul Gandhi Accused of Defaming Aishwarya Rai – Karnataka BJP Outraged

New Delhi: Congress MP on Aishwarya Rai The Karnataka BJP has accused Rahul Gandhi of defamation and has also accused him of insulting Kannadas. It also said that Rahul Gandhi has been reduced to low status by defaming Aishwarya Rai.

In a post published on its X page on Wednesday, the Karnataka BJP said, “Frustrated by the continuous rejection of Indians, Rahul Gandhi has taken it to a new level of denigrating India’s proud icon, Aishwarya Rai.” A fourth generation heir with zero track record is now spreading defamation on Aishwarya Rai who made India proud.

Siddaramaiah, your leader is constantly insulting fellow Kannadas. Will you protect your Kannada pride, speak out against such disrespect or remain silent to save the Chief Minister’s chair?” it asked.

It also uploaded a video in which Rahul Gandhi spoke against Aishwarya Rai’s participation in the inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi spoke about the inauguration of the Ram Temple during the India Unity Justice Yatra in Prayagraj on Sunday. Then he said, “Did you see the Kumbabhishekam ceremony at Ram Temple? Was there only one OBC face? Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Narendra Modi were there?” had spoken.

Thousands of celebrities, politicians and spiritualists participated in the opening ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. However, the opposition parties, including the Congress, boycotted the ceremony, alleging that the BJP was using the event for political gain. Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan attended the Ram Lalla idol consecration ceremony. Notably, Aishwarya Rai was not present.

In this situation, BJP spokesperson Shesad Poonawalla has also questioned Priyanka Gandhi’s silence on Rahul Gandhi’s comment. He said, “Rahul Gandhi has made misogynist comments about Aishwarya Rai, who is not in politics. Why is Priyanka Gandhi silent? Is he shy too? Why is the Samajwadi Party keeping silent against this opinion?” he questioned.
