Jaipur: Congress-ruled Rajasthan has also reduced the value-added tax on petrol and diesel. Rajasthan has reduced petrol prices by Rs 4 per liter and diesel by Rs 5 per liter. The decision comes as states have also reduced value-added tax following the Centre’s reduction in fuel prices.
The move by the Rajasthan government will give impetus to the Congress, which is struggling against the Left government in the state. Earlier, the Congress-ruled state of Punjab had also reduced taxes. The High Command had directed the states to reduce fuel prices.
