This strategic partnership, concluded on the sidelines of Gitex Africa Morocco, aims to support promising Moroccan startups and develop innovative solutions that will meet the needs of the tourism sector, particularly in the context of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which will be organized by Morocco, Spain and Portugal, indicate RAM and CDG in a joint press release.
This alliance, a first in Morocco, has two major objectives, namely supporting startups operating in Morocco or founded by Moroccans in the Kingdom or abroad in the field of TravelTech and promoting the development of Moroccan TravelTech, explains the same source.
In this regard, the partners intend to combine their common efforts with a view to strengthening the support and innovation programs of each party, by facilitating access to markets and the purchase of TravelTech solutions and products, while encouraging investment in viable Moroccan startups operating in this sector.

“This synergy between several public institutions will undoubtedly accelerate the digital transformation of Morocco and strengthen the strike force of Royal Air Maroc in preparation for the 2030 FIFA World Cup,” he continued.
For his part, the Director General of CDG, Khalid Safir, underlined: “this partnership is part of the DNA of the CDG Group, an institution committed to serving the economic and social progress of Morocco. We are mobilized, alongside of our partners, to promote TravelTech and young innovative Moroccan entrepreneurs, by strengthening our financing and support systems for startups.
“We are convinced that this partnership will contribute to the emergence and growth of a national TravelTech ecosystem, aligned with Morocco’s ambitions, in particular with a view to the organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup” , he noted.
Thanks to this partnership, startups will benefit from the business expertise of three groups RAM, CDG and the International University of Rabat (UIR), particularly in terms of support and the expertise of professionals from Royal Air Maroc, through its RAM Digital Open Innovation program, and the CDG Group and the UIR to help them develop, the press release said.
Concretely, the partnership will mobilize the winners of the “JobInTech” initiative, researchers and engineering students from the UIR to contribute to the design and development of innovative solutions for the TravelTech sector. The selected projects will also benefit from funding aimed at creating world-class startups linked to Morocco and Africa, through CDG Invest’s 212Founders program.
This strategic partnership marks an important step in the development of innovation in the TravelTech sector in Morocco. By bringing together the expertise and resources of Royal Air Maroc, the CDG Group and the UIR, the program will support promising Moroccan startups and contribute to the creation of a dynamic and competitive TravelTech ecosystem.
The signing ceremony was notably marked by the presence of the President of the UIR, Noureddine Mouaddib and the Director General of CDG Invest, Yassine Abderrazik Haddaoui.
