Ram Mandir consecration ceremony: The Bar Council of India has sent a letter to the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud asking for a holiday for the courts on the day of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir. Manan Kumar Mishra, chairman of the Bar Council and senior advocate of the Supreme Court, said that members of the legal fraternity and court staff should be given leave on the day to attend or observe the inauguration ceremony in Ayodhya and other related events across the country. He stated in the letter that the matter should be heard urgently and the matter should be rescheduled for the next working day.
“I request that this request be considered with utmost sympathy and appropriate steps be taken to mark this historic occasion in a manner consistent with the sentiments of the people,” the letter said. Preparations for Pran Pratishtha program are in progress in Ayodhya. More than 7,000 people, including politicians, monks and celebrities from across the country, are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest. Around 100 delegates from different countries will also participate in the event.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the helicopter service from Lucknow on Friday (January 19). The government has also fixed the rates for helicopter services. It is planned to extend it to other districts of the state in the near future. Apart from this, the state government will also present an aerial view of Ayodhya city and Ram temple for the devotees. The Department of Tourism has been entrusted with the responsibility of this. Devotees interested in sky darshan need to make advance booking to avail the facility.
