Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will face Services today in the Elite Group C match of the Ranji Trophy cricket tournament. The match will be played at St. Xavier’s College Ground, Thumpa.
This is Kerala’s fourth match of the season. Kerala had lost to Goa by seven wickets in the match held at the same venue last week. Kerala is third in the table with 13 points from three matches. Karnataka is at the first position with 13 points and Chhattisgarh is at the second position. Apart from this, Kerala has group stage matches against Karnataka and Pondicherry this season. Only good wins in these three matches will ensure a safe passage to the knockout stage.
As Sanju Samson is injured, Sjomon Joseph will lead Kerala in this match as well. In the last game, Rohan Prem, who scored a century (112) in the first innings and a half-century (78) in the second innings, all-rounder Jalaj Saxena, Sachin Baby, Rohan S. Kunnummal, Vysakhchandran, Akshay Chandran, Basil Thampi and others are in excellent form.
