British singer Raye lived up to her role as favorite at this year’s Brit Awards, setting a new record with awards in six categories. At the awards ceremony on Saturday evening in London, she received trophies for, among other things, Best Album (“My 21st Century Blues”), Best Song (“Escapism.”, here sung by her on “Inas Nacht”) and as Best Artist. The only German artist who was nominated came away empty-handed.
