Swimmer Luca Karl returns home from the Austrian Championships in Graz with two gold medals in the 1500 and 800 meter freestyle (silver went to teammate Florian Korber-Perner). “It was a great competition and a successful end to the year. “Before that, the European Short Course Championships were pretty good,” the 21-year-old cheered. The Salzburg native also set two new national records. Now the teacher training student has a little time to catch his breath: “We will now celebrate our successes a little and have a good time.” Things will get serious again in the new year, in February we will go to Cyprus for a training camp. Katharina stood out among the other Salzburgers Shooting doubler out. The 14-year-old set three Austrian youth records and won ÖM bronze in the 50 m freestyle. Daiki Kato also took third place in the 50 meter breaststroke. Overall, the Salzburg Swimming Union achieved two gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal in the general class.
