The record over 300 competitors from 30 countries will participate in the international figure skating tournament “Denkova-Staviski Cup”, which will be held from November 5 to 9 in the Winter Palace in Sofia. The 12th edition of the competition is organized by the skating club “Dancing on Ice Albena Denkova-Maxim Staviski” with the support of the Bulgarian Skating Federation.
The tournament will include the best Bulgarian players from all home clubs, as well as representatives of Australia, Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Denmark, Turkey, Great Britain, Spain, Austria, Norway, France, Cyprus, Italy, Estonia, the Republic of North Macedonia , Armenia, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Israel, Romania, Ukraine, Czech Republic and others.
On November 8 and 9, juniors, girls, men and women will present their routines.
For women, there will be 25 competitors, among them Alexandra Feigin and Kristina Grigorova, and for girls there will be 46, among them Kiara Hristova, Vayana Hristova and others. In the men’s category, Alexander Zlatkov and Beat Schümperli have entered.
For the first time, there will also be dance couples in the competition. 19 duets will participate, including Silvia Lutai and Gleb Ryaskin.
The competition is controlling for determining the squads for the Universiade in Turin and for the European Championship in January 2025 in Tallinn (Estonia).
