The 9th phase list of candidates contesting for the DMK in the urban local body elections has been released.

Elections have been declared for 219 corporations, 138 municipalities and 490 municipalities in Tamil Nadu for 649 urban local bodies. Accordingly, the by-elections are scheduled for February 19. The vote count is set to take place on February 22.
Candidature, which started on January 28, ends on February 4. Nomination review will take place on February 5th. The deadline for withdrawal of nominations is February 7.
With only one day left to file nominations, all parties are intensifying their efforts to finalize the candidates. In that regard, the DMK has now released the list of candidates for the 9th phase of the urban local body elections.
Candidates for Madurai, Tenkasi, Thiruvarur and Coimbatore have been announced in the 9th phase list. DMK candidates for Kadayanallur, Red Fort, Puliyangudi, Pollachi and Valparai municipalities have also been announced.
