Reliance, a major player in the oil and telecommunications sector, will invest around Rs 5 lakh crore to set up 100 gigawatts of renewable energy plants in the state and contribute to the green hydrogen environment.
In addition, Reliance will invest an additional Rs 60,000 crore to set up four large plants to manufacture hydrogen, energy-saving batteries and fuel batteries. In addition, it is expected to invest Rs 25,000 crore over the next three to five years in an existing business.
Reliance will invest an additional Rs 7,500 crore in Geo in 3-5 years to upgrade 5-G technology. Similarly, Rs 3,000 crore will be invested in retail. Reliance has signed an agreement with the Gujarat government to invest Rs 5.95 lakh crore in the state as part of an investment component of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022. Reliance has said that these projects will directly and indirectly create 10 lakh jobs in the state.
Reliance has started consulting with the Gujarat government to select sites in the Kutch, Panakanda and Dolera districts to set up a 100 GW renewable energy plant. Reliance is looking for 4.5 lakh acres of land in Kutch district.
