Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is set to invest Rs 5.95 lakh crore in green energy and other projects in Gujarat over the next 10-15 years. It is going to carry out the pollution energy industry by setting up large scale factories.

Reliance, a major player in the oil and telecommunications sector, will invest around Rs 5 lakh crore to set up 100 gigawatts of renewable energy plants in the state and contribute to the green hydrogen environment.

Reliance has signed an agreement with the Gujarat government to invest Rs 5.95 lakh crore in the state as part of an investment component of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2022. Reliance has said that these projects will directly and indirectly create 10 lakh jobs in the state.

Reliance has started consulting with the Gujarat government to select sites in the Kutch, Panakanda and Dolera districts to set up a 100 GW renewable energy plant. Reliance is looking for 4.5 lakh acres of land in Kutch district.
