Reinforced measures for maritime security
As part of the reopening of the port, the APN has also put in place a set of measures aimed at guaranteeing maritime and port security. These provisions include:
- Deployment of on-board protection teams : These teams, made up of members of the public security forces, will escort ships heading towards the port to prevent the risk of piracy.
- Enhanced real-time monitoring : The Search and Rescue Center will ensure constant monitoring using the “Sea Vision” and “COSPAS-SARSAT” systems, allowing continuous monitoring of ships.
- Engagement of private security agencies : Specialized agencies will provide protection on board ships and around port facilities.
