A man who tried to steal equipment from a transformer substation in the village of Mitsulevka, Sakhalin, died from an electric shock. This was announced on Monday, May 31st, by the press service of Sakhalinenergo.

“Unauthorized entry into one of the transformer substations in the village of Mitsulevka, Anivsky district, ended in the death of a man. The main version of what happened is the theft of electrical equipment. An investigation is currently underway on this incident, ”the message says.

It is noted that two young people sawed down the lock of the transformer substation and entered the closed switchgear. One of them approached the live parts, as a result of which he received a fatal electric shock.

At the end of March, in one of the dormitories of Sakhalin State University, two students, 18 and 19 years old, were killed from an electric shock. One of them went to the shower room, where he received a fatal electric shock, a neighbor came to the screams, but when he tried to help, he himself became the second victim of an electric shock.
