At the Ganja State Philharmonic named after Fikret Amirova A concert was held dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the prominent composer, holder of the Shohrat and Sharaf orders, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Ramiza Mirishlithe press service of the Philharmonic told Day.Az.
In the concert program, accompanied by the folk instruments orchestra of the Ganja State Philharmonic under the direction of the artistic director and conductor Khayala Gahramanova honored cultural worker Mehpar Jafarovasoloist Samira Gadzhieva, Mustafaeva left, Samir Mammadov, Azer Verdiev, Khayal Aliyev. The compositions “Arazim“, “First love”, “Spring of girls”, “He said don’t rush”, “Get angry with me”, “My native land”, “Tell me who are you”, “I have broken a heart”, “Azerbaijani world is mine” were performed. .
Ramiz Mirishli was born on April 16, 1934 in Nakhchivan. Arriving in Baku, he entered the Music College named after A. Zeynalli for the kamancha class. After graduating from college, he returned to Nakhchivan for some time, where he taught. Then he continued his musical education and in 1962 graduated from the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (class of Jovdet Hajiyev) (now the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli). While still a student, he created a piano trio, a quartet, romances and a symphonic poem.
In 1962-1971 he headed the music editorial office on state television. In 1989-1995 he was the artistic director of the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble. He taught at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory for more than 20 years.
Author of the operetta “The Stolen Girl” and “Let’s Become Relatives”, symphonic and concert works, including for national instruments, suites and overtures for folk instrumental orchestra, song and dance ensemble, choreographic compositions and dramatic plays. Author of music for dramatic plays and films, including “An Apple Like an Apple”, “The Man in the House”, “Old Pier”, “Gazelkhan” and “Invitation”, and numerous songs.
Died on April 17, 2015 in Baku. He was buried in the Alley of Honor.
