If you are over 64 and want to participate in the major project of the 2024 Olympic Games, the government can make you a real security agent. In any case, this is what the latest information campaign signed by France Travail and the National Old Age Insurance Fund offers.

It is never too late, neither to retrain, nor to put together the organization of the Games. After the unemployed and students, it is the turn of retirees to be called to enter the arena. Jointly, France Travail and the National Old Age Insurance Fund (Cnav) contacted them to encourage them to become private security agents, and thus contribute to the event of the year.

The figures relayed by the Île-de-France prefecture are a little disturbing: need 17,000 security guards on average per day, 9,500 employees so far, of which only 1,500 have completed the 106-hour special training.

Of the 186,000 retirees in Île-de-France potentially affected, at least 6,000 would therefore have to be convinced. To motivate them, the interministerial delegation to the Olympic and Paralympic Games explained that “the objective is to inform certain retirees of the opportunity to benefit […] funding training to carry out event security missions during the Games.

Member of this delegation, Michel Cadot indicated at the beginning of January that the private security contracts would be signed “mid-February”. Before admitting that “this does not mean that the agents will be there”.
