New Delhi: The closing session of Supreme Court Chief Justice U.U. Lalit will be telecast live today.

Uday Umesh Lalit, 64, took over as the 49th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on 27 Aug 2022. His tenure ends tomorrow.

As Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated tomorrow, the court has been given a holiday.

Therefore, the last court session in which the Chief Justice will participate will be held today.

Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Bheela M. Trivedi, who will take charge as the new Chief Justice, will also participate in this session along with the Chief Justice.

The hearing will be telecasted live on the Supreme Court’s website and ‘You Tube Channel’.

Before this, NV Ramana, who was the Chief Justice, retired on August 26, 2022, and the event was telecasted live. The Supreme Court’s constitutional bench hearing was telecast live on September 27.
