„Who the hell do you think you are?“

“Who the hell do you think you are?” Prince Harry (38) is said to have once shouted at his big brother William (40) in an argument.

The answer to this question will come soon.

Harry’s memoirs will be released on January 10th. The title alone is capable of sending shock waves through the English royal family.

The book will be called “Spare”. An allusion to the 12th century rule of succession to the throne “the heir and the spare”.

► If he lived long enough, the first born “heir” got the throne.

► If not, the “replacement” jumped in.

Unless the heir to the throne had already fathered children of his own. Then “the spare” became redundant, as happened to Harry.

For 800 years, second-borns have suffered from living privileged but insignificant lives as “spare parts” of the monarchy.

A life between hope and hate. Only the death of his brother could pave his way to the throne.

A solution to the problem that was used (also in other European royal houses). Even Shakespeare’s dramas (eg “Hamlet”, “Macbeth”) are bursting with fratricide and regicide.

Harry has a lot to tell.

What was little Harry thinking as he bravely walked behind the coffin of his mother Diana († 36)?

What does the rejection of his wife Meghan (41) do to him? And how did it feel to be number 2 forever?

In Germany his book will be called “Reserve”. In Spain “In the shadow”. “Unabashed and undaunted openness” is promised.

Now the world is waiting for Harry’s memoir. Except maybe Prince William. The heir to the throne will most likely not be amused.
