Hakim Shahjahan is a rising star among Malayalam young actors.
Although Hakim has already acted in short films and movies, it was his performance in the 2022 film Pranaya Ailasham that got the actor a lot of attention. Hakim was the hero in the recently released film Kadakan.
Hakim says that it is difficult for him to appear for interviews and after the short film Freedom at Midnight, he has received many calls for interviews. Hakim said that he only gave interviews for the promotion of the films he was acting in and it turned out to be a job. Hakim was speaking to Radio Mirchi.
‘Amongst my friends I’m very active but beyond that I can’t shut up sometimes. Do you know how much work it took to even get to this interview?
When Freedom at Midnight came out, I got a lot of phone calls asking for interviews. Because it was a big sensation. It was seen by more than one crore people in a month. I don’t pick up many phones, I tell some people I can’t. I told several people about my situation.
I don’t know what it is. Now that my film Kadakan is on release, I can only do interviews. I’m going to do the shoulder alone, so I have to do it now.
If it is not possible, they will take the agreement and show it, and ask if they have not said that they want to come for promotion. There’s no other way, it’s gone. But this should be done. It’s part of the job,’ says Hakim.
