The Director of Civil Protection (PROCIVIL), Luis Alonso Amaya, provided statements on the preliminary balance of incidents attended to from March 23 to 26 within the framework of the #PlanSummer2024.
The head of PROCIVIL reported that 29 water rescues have been carried out: 11 simple and 18 deep.
In the case of road accidents, 212 traffic accidents have been recorded, of which 135 injuries in traffic accidents have been reported, however, 72 have been arrested for dangerous driving.
“We call on the population to comply with the recommendations we provide to guarantee their well-being during this holiday period,” the official mentioned in the preliminary assessment.
In addition, they reported the comparison of fires between this year and 2023. The fires include:
Forest fires 06 in 2024 and 17 in 2023; Structural fires 07 in 2024 and 12 in 2023; Brush fires 79 in 2024 and 134 in 2023; Fires in landfills 12 in 2024 and 07 in 2023; Vehicle fires 01 in 2024 and 07 in 2023.
