The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that new transport ships will be created for the projected Russian orbital station. According to him, the preliminary design of the station will include both work on the facility itself, “and on a new transport system for low orbits.”
Rogozin added that the state corporation has high hopes for this work, and specified that the new ships “should appear at the turn of 2026-2027.”
Earlier, RSC Energia reported that preliminary design of the station could start as early as 2022, and construction is planned to begin in 2027.
