Rolls-Royce renews the Ghost sedan

by times news cr

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the updated Ghost. The sedan has been slightly changed in appearance. There are different headlights, a new body paint, the latest generation of multimedia and new interior materials. Rolls-Royce will offer three versions of the Ghost to its customers: regular, Extended and the most powerful Black Badge.

Rear passengers can connect up to two gadgets to their displays for streaming music or video, as well as Bluetooth headphones. There are several USB-C ports hidden in the center console between the seats, and there’s also a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Ghost’s audio system received a new 1400-watt amplifier, and the analog clock was decorated with a miniature figurine of the “Spirit of Ecstasy”.

For the first time, the dashboard and door inserts are made of gray ash wood veneer with metallic particles creating a shiny effect. The seats, like those on the updated Cullinan, are upholstered in Duality Twill bamboo fabric, which took more than a year to develop. As an alternative, a skin on which a detailed three-dimensional model will be created by microperforation has been proposed. The upholstery of one interior takes 20 hours and uses almost 18 kilometers of thread.

The updated sedan is powered by the same V12 6.75 biturbo engine, developing 571 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic, connected to the navigation system and pre-adapting the shifting strategy to the specific route.
