This meeting, which is part of the high concern extended by His Majesty Morocco is ''unique'' (Stéphane Séjourné)”>King Mohammed VI to members of the Moroccan community abroad, was marked by an open and constructive dialogue, reflecting the strength of the ties uniting the Moroccans of the world to their homeland.
The ambassador focused on the content of His Majesty the King’s speech at the opening of the autumn session of Parliament, highlighting the significant progress made by the Kingdom on the national question and calling for continued mobilization of all Moroccans to consolidate these achievements.
Mr. Amrani notably mentioned the growing support for the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative, as well as for Morocco’s sovereignty over its entire territory from influential states, including the United States of America. , stressing that these diplomatic advances testify to the justness of the Moroccan cause.
The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the economic development opportunities offered by Morocco and more particularly its southern provinces, a promising regional hub and a bridge between Morocco and its African depth.
The members of the Moroccan community present, including university students and professors, engineers, businessmen and women as well as various representatives of civil society, demonstrated their deep pride in the achievements of the Kingdom and renewed their determination to actively participate in its development.
During a rich and fruitful dialogue, various proposals were examined to consolidate economic, cultural and scientific relations between Morocco and the United States.
Discussions also focused on strategies to be implemented to support an increasingly active and enterprising diaspora, eager to fully play its role in the country’s development.
The ambassador highlighted, in this regard, the appeal of His Majesty the King underlining the crucial importance of national unity and the mobilization of all the vital forces of the nation to meet future challenges and seize the opportunities that present themselves in Morocco in a constantly evolving world.
Reiterating the immense Royal concern towards Moroccans living abroad, Mr. Amrani pledged to remain attentive to the needs and expectations of the Moroccan diaspora and to increase such initiatives to strengthen ties with this dynamic community in the United States.
