Pietro Lombardi is facing serious allegations. RTL is now reacting to an alleged incident between the DSDS star and Laura Maria Rypa.
There are serious allegations against singer Pietro Lombardi. On the night of October 7th there was a police operation at his and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa’s home in Cologne. The 32-year-old’s lawyer confirmed this to the “Bild” newspaper. “There were differences of opinion that involved insults on both sides,” said the lawyer. However, the question remains as to whether Pietro Lombardi became violent during the argument. The Cologne University Hospital has filed a complaint against him for bodily harm.
“As part of this emotional argument there was also mutual touching, but not our client using violence against his fiancée,” Pietro Lombardi’s lawyer denies the allegations.
Despite denials, the allegations are serious. That’s why t-online asked RTL. After all, Pietro Lombardi is currently under contract with the private broadcaster for “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. “We just found out about the incident through the press. We first have to get an overview ourselves,” explained an RTL spokesman on Tuesday evening, shortly after publication.
A day later, the station was apparently able to deal with the situation. A new statement says: “Pietro and his lawyer emphatically deny the allegations. In addition, Laura and Pietro published a statement on Instagram at the same time. RTL will continue to closely follow the developments and investigations in this matter.” The allegations have not yet had any impact on the broadcast of the show: “As things stand, today’s DSDS program will be broadcast as planned.”
The statement by Pietro Lombardi and Laura Maria Rypa says: “The press is trying to aggravate the conflict even more and often doesn’t take certain statements very seriously. We don’t want that, so we won’t offer a platform for this here and in that sense of our children act so that the public is kept out.”
