A demonstration on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Rural Development Officers Association was held in Kallakurichi-Kallakurichi. Kolanchivelu led a demonstration in front of the Kallakurichi Collector’s Office. District Administrators, including District Secretary Chandrasekhar, took the lead. District Deputy Chairman Veerapathiran welcomed the gathering. Government Employees Union District Treasurer Ravi, Chairman Anantha Krishnan, Central Executive Committee Member Balasubramanian and State Administrator of Primary School Teachers Federation Rahim congratulated the protesters. Various demands were emphasized, including that all village panchayat secretaries be given rights, including pay, through the treasury.
