Russian forces continued their relentless attacks on the Sumy region, launching a barrage of 43 strikes against border areas and settlements over the past 24 hours.
The Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported the widespread shelling, which targeted numerous communities, including Sumy, Khotivska, Yunakovska, Bilopilska, Krasnopilska, Velkopysarevs’ka, Chupivska, Puhtvilska, Esmany, Shalhyhivska, Seredyna-Budska, Druzhbyvska, and Sves’ka.
Khotivska bore the brunt of the assault, enduring airstrikes, mortar fire, and drone attacks using both kamikaze and free-flying platforms. The southern outskirts of Yunativka faced similar intensity with artillery and tank fire adding to the chaos. Krasnopilska was heavily shelled with artillery, while Belopol’ska was targeted by drones and mortars.
Civilian infrastructure was also damaged during these attacks. In Chupivska, a drone strike ignited a large wildfire.
Elsewhere, the relentless bombardment continued. Velkopysarevs’ka suffered artillery and mortar attacks, while Esmany was targeted by drones and kamikaze munitions. Seredyna-Budska, Sves’ka, and Druzhbyvska all faced drone strikes, while Sumy was hit by a ” Lancet” type drone, damaging a vehicle. Shalhyhivska saw multiple drone attacks and a barrage of mines. Puhtvilska was attacked by a drone that dropped an explosive.
