Through statements, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources revealed via Telegram that in addition to these species, the gift included “two domestic yakscinco white cockatoos25 pheasants of several species and 40 mandarin ducks”, which were moved to the “Moscow Zoo to the Pyongyang Zoo”.
The report added a video showing the transfer and unloading of the animals from a Russian government plane.
The exotic delivery occurs in a context in which both nations agreed on a mutual defense agreementwhich obliges them to provide immediate military assistance in the event of an invasion by a third party.
Previously, Putin gave Kim Jong-un, North Korean president, 24 horses purebred, favorites of Kim, while Jong-un sent Putin a pair of local dogs.
