The Russian national ice hockey team defeated the Czech Republic in the Channel One Cup match. The meeting held in Moscow ended with a score of 5: 2.

The goals were scored by: Gritsyuk (1), Vovchenko (8), Grigorenko (15, 38), Elesin (40) – Kovarzh (19), Gulash (48).

Earlier, the Russians beat the national teams of Canada (4: 3) and Sweden (1: 0).
