Penn Field Hockey Star Julia Ryan Selected for 2025 NFHCA Senior Team

Philadelphia – University of Pennsylvania senior Julia Ryan was named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division 1 Senior Team on Thursday, November 20. The prestigious team recognizes 38 exceptional Division 1 student-athletes nationwide, celebrating their competitive achievements, demonstrated leadership, and enduring contributions to their respective programs.
The NFHCA team selection highlights athletes who have consistently excelled on and off the field. Ryan’s inclusion underscores her significant impact on the Quakers’ field hockey program. She served as a team captain this season, leading by example and consistently delivering strong performances. According to the NFHCA, the team aims to honor athletes who embody excellence in all facets of their collegiate careers.
Ryan’s on-field prowess was undeniable, as she finished the season as the team leader in both goals and points. This offensive production was further acknowledged with her third career selection to the Second Team All-Ivy League.
