In coordination with the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC)the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office launched the ‘Safe Christmas’ operation to reinforce surveillance in the district during the celebrations for the Christmas season.

From the emblematic neighborhood of Tepito, the mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega He led the flag to kick off the police deployment that will remain active until January 7.
“Our goal is that families and their assets are protected. “We are allocating all the capital we have to this operation,” said the mayor.

During deployment, the Directorate of Citizen Security (DSG) of the mayor’s office will work in coordination with the SSC in search of preserving public order and avoiding the commission of crimes during the season of december holidays.
Additionally, the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office implemented medical service posts to support pilgrims visiting the Basilica of Guadalupe and travel thru the territory of the Alcaldía, where pre-hospital services were provided such as taking blood pressure and first aid derived from injuries due to falls during the transfer of pilgrims.
In her message,the mayor stated that her Government works to guarantee security from different fronts,from the social prevention of crime to the strengthening of the police force,through the improvement of their working conditions.
