It was not enough for a lottery player from Salzburg to win the grand prize of almost eleven million euros in the latest draw, but “five with an extra number” gave the lucky man at least 75,600 euros.

A player from Carinthia was able to win around 10.9 million euros in the latest lottery. For the second time within a month, the “right six” received a double million sum. This is also only the fifth seven-time jackpot in lottery history. Austrian Lotteries announced this in a broadcast on Thursday.

The fifth jackpot was won seven times in the history of the lottery. This means that almost 10.9 million euros – the third highest prize in Austria – will go to one lucky person in Carinthia.

Four participants in the game – including the winner from Salzburg – also guessed five correct numbers and an extra number. You will get 75,600 euros each. The Salzburg lottery ticket was played with an ordinary ticket. The other three “fives with extra numbers” come from Upper Austria, Lower Austria and via the gaming site win2day.
