Sarath Kumar Merges All India Equality People’s Party with BJP in Chennai – Lok Sabha Elections Buzz

Chennai: All India Equality People’s Party’s founder Sarath Kumar today (March 12) merged with BJP. Sarathkumar merged his party with the BJP in the presence of Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai at the BJP headquarters in Thiagaraya Nagar, Chennai. As the Lok Sabha elections approach, Sarathkumar’s merger with the BJP has become the talk of the town.

Speaking after the merger, Sarathkumar said, “Joining the BJP was not the decision of the Samatwa People’s Party. Rather, it is the beginning of people’s work. We continue to serve the people. This is a decision taken for the rise of tomorrow, for the development of the country and for the welfare of the future youth. In this regard, the decision has been taken in consultation with the party administrators,” he said. And Prime Minister Modi praised that he is ruling like Kamaraj.

Speaking earlier, Annamalai said, “Saradkumar is needed by the nation. He should not be confined to a small circle,” he welcomed the merger.

DMK, AIADMK, Samakah...Sarathkumar started his political journey with DMK alliance. Later he joined AIADMK. On August 31, 2007, Sarath Kumar left the AIADMK and launched the All India Equality People’s Party. In the 2011 assembly elections, the party won two assembly constituencies, Tenkasi and Nanguneri, under the double leaf symbol on behalf of the AIADMK alliance. Sarathkumar in Tenkasi and Ernavur A in Nanguneri. Narayanan also won. After that, the party suffered setbacks due to internal disputes. In this case, it was expected that Sarathkumar will contest with the BJP in the upcoming elections. But he has merged his party with BJP in secret talks.
