The South African cricket team is touring and playing in New Zealand. South Africa lost the first Test by an innings and 276 runs
The 2nd Test started today at Christchurch, where South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first.
Dean Elgar and Charle Erwe were the opening batsmen for South Africa .They played well and added 111 runs for the opening wicket .Then the first wicket was taken by captain Dean Elgar for 41 runs. Markram, who came next, was dismissed for 42.
Starter Charles Ervey scored a century .He continued to play and was dismissed for 108 runs.
South Africa lost 3 wickets for 238 runs at the end of the first day’s play.
