Jeddah: The 92nd National Day celebration of Saudi Arabia will be filled with colors and mesmerizing sounds. In 18 cities of the country, various types of fireworks were displayed in the sky.
Fireworks were one of the main events of the National Day celebrations organized by the Public Entertainment Authority under the slogan ‘This is our home’. Fireworks started at 9pm on Friday, the national day. The Kambakattu spread by Manat Marivillazhak lasted from five to 15 minutes. Thousands of stars erupted in Manat. The flower beds are in full bloom. Many families and children came to watch the fireworks in different cities, wearing green clothes, raising the Saudi flag and carrying banners that read ‘This is our house’.
They raced to capture the fireworks scenes on mobile cameras and spread them through social media. Also, every city in Saudi witnessed a variety of other events and exhibitions on the National Day.
Dozens of programs like airshows, traditional folk art exhibitions, heritage and handicraft exhibitions, poetry evenings etc. were staged in different parts of the country. Interactive platforms and programs incorporating the latest sound and light technologies were included to celebrate the country’s heritage. National Day celebrations will continue till September 26.
