Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nasser lost 3-1 to Al Ittihad in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasser for one of the biggest wages in football history, has been criticized for struggling to score in his second game away from the Manchester club.
A 5-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo has had a couple of opportunities to showcase his talent. However, he was thwarted by Al Ittihad tackles.
Al Ittihad’s Romarinho scored in the 15th minute to give the team the lead. Similarly, Al Ittihad scored the 2nd goal in the 43rd minute of the game.
This time Abdarrazak Hamad Allah of the team scored the goal. Al Nasser made several attempts to start their goal tally but to no avail. Anderson Talisca scored the first goal for Al Nasser in the 67th minute.
However, this is not enough for success. In the 90th minute of the match, Al Ittihad’s Muqnad Al Shanqidi scored to take a 3-1 lead.
Al Nasser team has been eliminated from the Saudi Super Cup series with this defeat. Al Ittihad and Al Fay meet in the final on January 29.
In the first match of this series Al Nasser – Etifaq clashed. In that, when Al Nasser team won 1-0, Ronaldo did not register any goal.
While he did not score in the match against Al Ittihad, he has been criticized for struggling to score.
Al Nasser will next face Al Fath in the Saudi Pro League match on February 3.
