After almost a year, Sebastian Fitzek says goodbye to the team of presenters of the TV show “Riverboat”. The Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) announced on Wednesday that he was quitting work in order to concentrate fully on writing again. The best-selling author took over the position last fall. His last appearance is this Friday. “I would have liked to have continued for much longer,” said Fitzek. Rarely has a creative task been as much fun for him as “Riverboat”. But new book projects require writing retreats lasting several months, which cannot be reconciled with regular moderation. (dpa)
