Shortly after 3:00 p.m., the plenary session of the Senate approved the railway reform so that the passenger trains in Mexico are a reality.
The opinion was approved unanimously, with 123 votes in favor, in general and in particular, with which the railway reform will be elevated to constitutional status to give priority to passenger trains.
As it is a constitutional reform, the opinion will go to the state congresses for analysis and voting, and if approved, it will be sent to the Executive for promulgation and publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF).
