Beitar Jerusalem has been strengthened by a new stopper: Sergey Borodin, the stopper of the Russian Krasnodar, is coming to the team of Yossi Abouxis on loan under a contract for a season and a half, when his salary will be 20,000 euros per month. The brakeman will land on Sunday and will join the team next week.
Borodin, 23 years old, stands 1.87 meters tall, has a dominant left foot, and has been through all of Russia’s national teams and even made one appearance for Russia’s senior national team. He comes to Beitar relatively fit to play, having made 10 appearances in the Krasnodar uniform this season, in which he scored a goal and an assist. Last season, he made 26 appearances in the reserve team of Krasnodar.
The defender will replace Josua Machias in the role, and will take his place in the foreigner’s tombstone. Beitar Jerusalem said: “This is a player highly valued by the professional team, who marked him as one of the most important reinforcements for the January transfer window.”
