Established in 1980, our fishing village group has 50 members whose main income is seaweed farming. By donating part of the profits on this day to a scholarship fund to foster local talent, we became “the first fishing village group in Shinan-gun to donate a scholarship.”
Chief Kim Gwang-hee said, “We are very honored to be the first among the 72 fishing villages in Shinan-gun to donate a scholarship.” He added, “We will continue to strive for the advancement of an eco-friendly seaweed farming industry and seek various ways to contribute to the local community. “I look forward to achieving good results and being able to donate more money,” he said of his donation.
Chairman Park Woo-ryang said, “We would like to thank our fishing village members for giving back to the community the precious profits earned from their hard work during the winter at sea.” He added,“This is the first time among Shinan-gun fishing villages to donate a scholarship fund. “We will use the scholarship donated as a very meaningful act of sharing by our fishing village community, which coexists and contributes to nurturing talent, for the studies and future of Shinan-gun students,” he said.
Shinan-gun Garden Social Cooperative Jangsan-myeon Crop Team (Chairman Choi Seol-im) executives and members visited Shinan-gun Office on the 3rd and delivered 10.04 million won in scholarship funds to the Shinan-gun Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Woo-ryang), conveying a warm feeling to the local community.
The scholarship fund donated this time was raised with a portion of the profits earned by the Jangsan-myeon crop club through the cultivation of birch saplings.
Chairman Park Woo-ryang said, “I am grateful to Class President Choi Seol-im and the union members who willingly entrusted the precious proceeds to be used as a scholarship fund for Shinan-gun students.” He added, “We will deliver the scholarships to the places where they are needed so that they can be put to good use in helping Shinan-gun students pursue their dreams.” He said.
Shinan-gun Garden Social Cooperative Jangsan-myeon crop Team, established in October last year, has 27 members producing nursery plants such as pampas grass and birch as income-generating crops for residents. With this scholarship fund donation,we plan to expand enduring sharing activities with the local community and explore various ways to link seedling production and local development.
Shinan-gun Garden Social Cooperative Anjwa-myeon Purple Barrel Crop Team (Chairman Kim Gyeong-ho) executives and union members visited Shinan-gun Office on the 3rd and pledged to donate 50 million won in scholarship funds to the Shinan-gun Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Park Woo-ryang) and delivered 10 million won. .
This scholarship fund was established to return to the local community some of the profits earned by the Anjwa-myeon purple Barong crop group through the resident income-generating nursery project, and 10 million won will be donated each year for five years.
Chairman Park Woo-ryang said, “Despite the arduous circumstances, the scholarship fund obtained through the Purple Berry Nursery Project will go beyond financial support and become a valuable gift that conveys great courage and hope to the students who will lead the future of Shinan-gun.” “We will use the scholarship meaningfully to provide practical help to students in their studies,” he said.
Shinan-gun Garden Social Cooperative Anjwa-myeon Purple Baerong Crop Team was established in May of last year, and currently, 13 members have selected and cultivated purple crape myrtle as an income-generating crop for residents, contributing to increasing the income of local residents and strengthening the agricultural base.
