Police in Lansing, Michigan, are investigating after a shooting early Sunday left five people injured. The incident occurred in a shopping center parking lot around 1 a.m., with victims’ ages ranging from 16 to 26. Two individuals are in critical condition and have been transported to a hospital for treatment, according to a statement from the Lansing Police Department.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a large group and immediately requested assistance from other agencies. Although firearms were recovered and individuals were detained, no arrests have been made at this time, as stated by the police.
