The exchange rates of the US dollar rose slightly, today, Tuesday, in Baghdad markets, while they stabilized in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.

Agency correspondent said, “Gold prices in the wholesale markets on Al-Nahr Street in the capital, Baghdad, recorded this morning, the selling price of one 21-carat mithqal of Gulf, Turkish and European gold at 441 thousand dinars, and the purchase price at 437 thousand dinars.”

Our correspondent noted, “The selling price of one 21-karat mithqal of Iraqi gold was recorded at 411 thousand dinars, and the purchase price reached 407 thousand.”

Regarding gold prices in goldsmiths’ shops, the selling price of a 21-carat Gulf gold mithqal ranges between 445 thousand and 455 thousand dinars, while the selling price of an Iraqi gold mithqal ranges between 415 thousand and 425 thousand dinars.

As for gold prices in Erbil, the selling price of 24 karat gold was 510 thousand dinars, 21 karat gold was 450 thousand dinars, and 18 karat gold was 390 thousand dinars.

One mithqal of gold is equal to five grams.
