Six researchers from the Cnr of Pisa among the most influential scientists – Science and Technology

(ANSA) – PISA, OCTOBER 15 – Six researchers from the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the CNR in Pisa have recently been included in the Top 2% of the most cited and influential scientists worldwide published by Stanford University. They are Marco Conti, Andrea Passarella, Fabio Martinelli, Eleonora Borgia, Stefano Cresci and Paolo Santi.
The institute deals with computer sciences and is home to Registro.it, the registry of Italian domains on the Internet.
Every year Stanford University publishes an updated list of the most influential scientists in the world in their field of research, the CNR explains, “basing its analysis on the Elsevier-Scopus database, which keeps track of global scientific publications in the fields of social, medical and , mathematics and physics, covering 330 research disciplines: the Cnr-Iit has six researchers in this special ranking, i.e. 15% of the total of its stable researchers, in fields ranging from artificial intelligence to the study of Internet networks, from cybersecurity up to new technologies for quantum networks”.
Conti chairs the scientific committee of the Fair Foundation, the project that implements the Pnrr interventions on artificial intelligence and which is based in Pisa, Passarella directs the institute and is among the coordinators of the Pnrr Restart project, Martinelli, among the leaders of the Pnrr Serics project dedicated to cybersecurity, while Borgia works on the Restart project on the telecommunications networks of the future.
Finally, Cresci obtained an award of 1.5 million euros to continue its Deduce project on content moderation on social media and online platforms and San deals with smart cities. (HANDLE).
