Slight weekly gains for Basra crude

/ Basra crude achieved slight weekly gains, with global oil prices recording gains for the third week in a row.

Basra Heavy crude closed in its last session yesterday, Friday, at an increase of 74 cents, reaching $73.31, and recorded slight weekly gains of $1.56, equivalent to 2.17%.

While Basra Average crude closed in its last session at an increase of 79 cents, reaching $76.01, and also recorded slight weekly gains amounting to $1.71, or 2.3%.

As for global oil prices, they recorded a slight decline at settlement yesterday, Friday, but recorded weekly gains after tension in the Middle East and disruption of production in some locations offset the impact of concerns about the Chinese and global economies.

Brent recorded weekly gains of about 0.5 percent, while US crude rose more than 1 percent.
