Snow in Germany is beautiful (photo) | Germany Information and Travel Tips | Dw

Freudenberg ● This cute town is located in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. We did not have any special outstanding reason to publish the photo from Freudenberg. Fresh snow just fell out there. And it’s beautiful!

Freudenberg is located in a hilly landscape with heights ranging from 243 to 505 m above sea level. Therefore, snow is not so rare here. Of course, in other regions of Germany it drops out more often and in general it is more in volume. It happens that due to snowfalls transport gets up or other disasters happen. But in the town of Freudenberg these days it is beautiful, like on a New Year’s card.

Snow in the town of Freudenberg

The historic center of Freudenberg was built entirely in a half-timbered style and still looks like a small town of the 17th century. There is no other half-timbered urban center like this anywhere else in the world. This is probably why Freudenberg was used more than once during filming.
