Thiruvananthapuram: A KSRTC bus coming on the wrong side at excessive speed hit a bike and injured a family of three including a pregnant woman. The incident took place near Valiaveli LP School on the last day at around 3 pm. Anthony (31), his wife Vijitha (24) and their son Abron (one year old) were seriously injured in the accident at Waliyathoppu homestead in South Kollamkot, Pozyoor.
The KSRTC bus, RNC 532, which was going from Pound Kadav to Valiyaveli side, was coming on a bike in the opposite direction and ran over the family. Locals say that the bus was speeding on the wrong side. The KSRTC bus that hit the trio broke the nearby wall. The locals rushed Antony and his family to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

A one-year-old boy is undergoing treatment at Abron SAT Hospital. Relatives said the child’s injuries were not serious. Thumba police have registered a case against the KSRTC driver under serious charges.
