Flix Patrol ranks first in 93 countries for two days in a row

The Netflix series ‘Squid Game 2’ ranked first in all countries where Netflix is available. This is the second day in a row following the 28th.
According to Flix Patrol, an online streaming platform viewing time statistics site, on the 30th, ‘Squid Game 2’ ranked first in the Netflix TV show category the previous day. Netflix is currently available in 93 countries, and ‘Squid Game 2’ is at the top in all countries.
On the 27th, when the first count was made, it ranked first in 92 countries excluding New Zealand, and from the following day, it ranked first in New Zealand as well. However, Flix Patrol’s tally is not Netflix’s official tally. Netflix releases official viewing time rankings every Wednesday. The exact ranking and viewing time related to ‘Squid Game 2’ can be seen on January 1st.
‘Squid Game 2’ is the sequel to ‘Squid Game’, which came out in September 2021. It tells the story of Seong Ki-hoon, who won the game last season and received 45.6 billion won, as he participates in the game once again to find a game organizer. Actor Lee Jung-jae once again played Seong Ki-hoon, and Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, Gong Yoo, Park Seong-hoon, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Jo Yuri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee Seo-hwan, Da-wit Lee, and Kim Si-eun appeared. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made the previous work, took charge of both writing and directing.
The previous work, ‘Squid Game’, held the top spot in Flix Patrol’s tally for 46 days at the time of its release, holding the record for the longest period of time in first place. According to Netflix’s official viewing time records, ‘Squid Game’ has attracted 2.252 billion hours in the 91 days since its release, ranking first in Netflix’s history. Second place is ‘Wednesday’ with 1.7188 billion hours.
