The Sri Lankan army is looking for a Tamil youth in the diaspora as a supporter of the LTTE while the south is celebrating that the Sri Lankan government has received a loan of international currency.

The father has requested the Sri Lankan police to save him and his family from the Sri Lankan army’s manhunt.

A 64-year-old father named Pillaiyan Dharmakulasingham from Puttur has complained to the police station that the military intelligence unit is threatening him in search of his son Nilanitan.

His son, Dharmakulasingham Nilanidhan, is said to have been releasing information to the media about the human rights violations and disappearances and abductions staged by the soldiers in Puttur area before 2015. Especially his interviews have been broadcasted on Diaspora Radio.

In this case, Nilanidhan fled the country after continuous threats from the Sri Lankan Military Intelligence.

However, the father has complained to the police station that the military intelligence unit in the area is harassing him to hand over his escaped son, Nilanithan.

He said that due to this, his son is unable to return to the country or visit his parents and till now the military intelligence unit is threatening to search his house.

Hundreds of Tamil youths were disappeared and massacred during the war in Puttur area, which is located on the borders of Vudamaratshi, Thenmaratshi and Valigamat.

In this situation, it has been reported that the military intelligence department is searching for Dharmakulasingham Nilanidhan, a close relative of Selvarasa Rajivarman, the office reporter of Udayan magazine, who was shot dead.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan government has just received its first aid grant from the International Monetary Fund after promising to reduce troop and military personnel in the Northeast.

However, it is noteworthy that the Tamil sides are constantly raising their voice that all the assurances of the Sri Lankan government are a deception to the international community.
