Colombo ∙ Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hazaranka was banned by the ICC within hours of withdrawing his decision to return to the Test team. After being ruled out of the two-match series against Bangladesh, the player will join IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. But it is not clear whether the player will be fielded in the first matches. Hazaranka, who retired from Tests last year, announced his return to the team on Tuesday. But there are also reports that this is a strategy of Lanka to prevent the player from missing matches in the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. Before the World Cup, Lanka has only Test series starting on Friday. If he does not play, he will miss the first four matches of the World Cup.
