With a solemn ceremony, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of the Mexico City fired the police officer Javier Duanarun over by a motorcyclist at a checkpoint in the Magdalena Contreras mayor’s office.
Family, friends and colleagues gathered on the esplanade of the Oriente “Guerreros” Metropolitan Police Unit, where a body mass was held and later a posthumous ceremony was held presided over by the head of the unit, Pablo Vázquez, to say the last goodbye to the officer.

In his message, the security secretary expressed his condolences to the family members, while recognizing the bravery of the element as the Mexico City Police and “the vocation with which, in your four years of service, you upheld the values that guide the service.” public”.

As a tribute, police commanders set up the honor guard, while officers from the “Zorros” Group placed the flag and the kepi that he wore in office.

During the ceremony, the last roll call was given, the salute was performed in honor and the call of silence was performed by the War Band made up of personnel from the Auxiliary and Metropolitan Police to remember their work in safeguarding citizens.
Finally, upon leaving the facilities, a Condor helicopter flew over and scattered a shower of rose petals while the procession advanced towards the main entrance.
