Star products of the summer: good news, inflation remains contained except… for merguez sausages

Pasta, rice, coffee, but also minced steaks or paper handkerchiefs… in recent months, inflation, which continues to accelerate, has given us little respite, forcing some of us to review our shopping list, when it was not simply necessary to give up certain items, which had become too expensive (red meat, fish, etc.). At the height of the summer period, we wondered if what we call the “essentials of summer” — water, ice cream, merguez sausages, but also T-shirts, beach towels and sunscreens — were also carried away by this inflationary wave, or if they escaped it.
